The City of Melbourne has announced the revitalised Melbourne Indigenous Arts Festival: YIRRAMBOI which means ‘tomorrow’ in the shared languages of Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung.
Aboriginal writers and artists are encouraged to submit expressions of interest for projects in the lead-up to the YIRRAMBOI First Nations Arts Festival, which will run from 5 to 14 May 2017.

In partnership with The Guardian Masterclasses, YIRRAMBOI will be delivering a tailored workshops series designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers to build capacity in the critical review of live performance, art, music and social discourse. Expressions of interest close at 5pm on Thursday 22 December.

Call out for artists, performers, writers, creators and cultural groups interested in presenting their work as part of Barring Yanabul – a day-long treasure hunt of fun, provocative, experimental and interactive arts experiences throughout the centre of Melbourne.
