Call for 2019 Exhibitions

The call for proposals is now open for the 2019 exhibition program at the Counihan Gallery In Brunswick. Artists and curators are invited to submit proposals for projects that can be developed and achieved in the next year. We welcome innovative ideas and critical approaches to art practice. As a 2019 CLIMATE + ART = CHANGE Festival venue partner, the Gallery welcomes proposals with strong links to climate and the environment and associated social or political issues that might be considered as a festival exhibition in the month of April, 2019. The gallery welcomes proposals from career/professional artists from all cultural backgrounds that meet the selection criteria and align with the gallery’s objectives.

Brunswick Cultural Harmony Fiesta

The Brunswick Cultural Harmony Fiesta is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of our local community, connect with one another and enjoy a great day out. This free, family friendly event will take place on Saturday 24th March, from 12 noon to 4pm. The location is Brunswick Neighbourhood House, 43A De Carle St Brunswick and the adjacent Warr Park Reserve. On offer is a free Halal sausage sizzle, free face painting, free kids activities and workshops (gardening in small spaces, botanical illustration and yoga), free cultural performances and food stalls from around the world.
