Leith is a respected artist who has been based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne for the past 11 years.
His favoured style of creation is laser cutting intriguing objects and scenes out of wood and steel for public displays, commissions and for fun. It’s said that he conjures up a dreamy atmosphere, quite otherworldly at times, and his creations tend to take people back to their childhoods (or at least bring out the child from within).
His past work extends to watercolours, acrylic and live performance painting. Leith’s early years were spent painting in the rain forests of Northern New South Wales which nurtured his deep and unending love for the aesthetic simplicity of the natural world. Time has honed his skills and while teaching and traveling throughout China he absorbed a great number of creative philosophies which he now presents in his latest exhibitions and public works.
