Benjamin Solah

Benjamin Solah is a spoken word artist, poet, freelance writer and the Director of Melbourne Spoken Word. Raised in the western suburbs of Sydney, he now calls Brunswick West home. He has performed around many regular poetry and spoken word events in Melbourne including Passionate Tongues, Dan Poets, Voices in the Attic and House of Bricks, as well as at the National Gallery of Victoria and White Night. His work has been described as “no holds barred passionate” and flips between the political and the absurd. He’s released a chapbook on asylum seekers, ‘broken bodies’ as well as two spoken word albums, ‘Duel Power’ with Santo Cazzati and ‘The World Doesn’t Make Sense EP.’ He’s currently working on a new print and audio collection as well as a one man spoken word play.
