The Community Grants Program provides financial support and incentive to community groups, organisations and individuals to implement and support community building initiatives.
Capital Works Partnership Grants up to $40,000 is provided for capital works improvements to enhance a facilities inclusiveness and promote greater community access, increased participation and encourage interaction of all age groups. Successful expressions of interest will be offered to submit a full application. Applicants are required to contribute at least 25 percent of the total project cost through cash and in-kind contributions. All Projects must occur in the 2017-2018 financial year (1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018)
Operational Grants up to $10,000 support the development of newly established community organisations that require assistance with establishment and capacity building skills. This category aims to support the development of an organisation that addresses clearly identified needs and embraces the principles of social justice, healthy living, environmental sustainability and community inclusion. Funding will be provided for 3 years only. It is expected that the organisation will be self maintained and suitably self-sufficient at the end of the funding term. Funding up to $10,000 per annum. (1 July 2017 to 30 June 2020).
Project Grants up to $5,000 are provided for one-off project implementation and development that benefits and engages the community through community led initiatives. Projects which increase participation, encourage volunteering, provide leadership opportunities and increase learning and skill development are encouraged. Submissions must provide evidence of a community need and a clear benefit to the wider Moreland community. All Projects must occur in the 2017-2018 financial year (1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018)
