Kitiya Palaskas creates high energy, positive vibes in her colourful, DIY cut-out, kitsch style art works. As a craft-based stylist and designer with multidisciplnary practice, Kitiya specialises in prop and installation design, styling, art direction, creative workshop facilitation and DIY content production. Keeping to her DIY aesthetic, she focuses on using handmade techniques and traditional craft methods reimagined in a contemporary way. She has recently exhibited in ‘Spring Time’ at RVCA, as well as worked with Third Draw Down on their awesome window display with a host of other awesome Melbourne based female artists.

Wish You Were Here is a collection of felt-based collages and soft sculptures by Melbourne craft-based designer and artist, Kitiya Palaskas. The exhibition explores the act of collecting souvenirs and the nostalgia associated with glorifying these collected treasures through curated displays after a vacation ends. In her art practice, Kitiya is fascinated by the juxtaposition of constructing every day objects and iconography out of unconventional materials, and so has created this work entirely in felt.
