Now accepting entries for The Incinerator Art Award: Art for Social Change.
The Incinerator Art Award is the Gallery’s annual major exhibition and prize with a non-acquisitive prize pool of $14,000.
The award is open to artworks of all mediums that demonstrate a belief in cultural and creative expression as a means to affect deep and lasting social change. Inspired by the vision of Walter Burley Griffin, architect of the original Incinerator building, and his wife Marion Mahoney, the exhibition pays homage to their progressive beliefs in environmental sustainability and social equality.
The $14,000 non-acquisitive prize pool includes:
– The $10,000 Boathouse Award
– The $3,000 Incinerator Gallery Award
– The $1,000 People’s Choice Award
Applications close Monday, 4 July at 5pm.
