The Creative State Summit returns to Melbourne this June with a direct call for Victorian creatives to step up, be heard and make an impact.
The 2018 Summit will tackle the theme of ‘creativity in a post truth world’. It will explore how our creative sector can help influence and shape public discourse, the role of artists and creative practitioners as activists, and the power of creativity to respond to society’s most challenging issues. The Summit will also explore the role of cultural institutions, such as museums and libraries, as a source of authenticity.
An initiative of our Creative State strategy, the Summit is an annual gathering of creative practitioners and organisations from far and wide to help shape our policy and put it into practice.
Tickets are now available and a range of bursaries and subsidised tickets are on offer for independent Victorian creatives, small organisations and regional participants.
Prices are varied depending on your situation.
- Individual creatives and micro businesses (up to $250,000 annual turnover) – $99
- Small to medium sized organisations ($250,000 to $1m annual turnover) – $369
- Government, academic institutions and large organisations (over $1m annual turnover) – $595
We welcome participation from the broadest possible cross-section of Victoria’s creative industries, and our pricing structure is designed to make the event as accessible as possible.
If the ticket price is prohibitive in your circumstances, we also have a limited number of full bursaries available.
