Working primarily in charcoal to develop observational drawing skills we will then develop form, composition and spatial relationships. Once this drawing foundation is established we will then begin to explore colour with pastels. This class is for beginners and the hope is that as the individuals continue this course they will explore pastels and working with paint as they move through to the Advanced Opening to Art class.

MATCH Lab, our matched funding program for independent artists and artistic groups, is now open. If you’re looking to boost your fundraising skills, raise money for your next project and build a sustainable arts practice, this program could be for you.
MATCH Lab isn’t a typical grants program – it’s an intensive, hands-on professional and business development opportunity. We’re looking for people who have lots of ideas and passion for their art, and want to arm themselves with knowledge to make a sustainable path for their work.
If you’re successful, you’ll take part in a two-day fundraising clinic and be eligible for up to $10,000 in matched funding for your fundraising campaign.
