10 Minute Dance party project

Come along and work on this exciting new event and collaborate with JOF (Joseph O’Farrell: internationally acclaimed musician and artist) to make a 10 Minute Dance Party* for the Glenroy Festival.

*10 Minute Dance Parties is an accessible artwork that collaborates with local young people to provide audiences with the best 10 minutes of their lives!

WHEN?

JOF will be running 3 workshops at Oxygen Youth Space on:

~Wed 12th April (4.30pm – 6pm)
~Wed 19th April (4.30pm – 6pm) &
~Wed 26th April (4.30pm – 6pm)

The 10 minute dance party will run at the Glenroy Festival on Sunday 30th April from 12pm – 4pm at Bridget Shortell Reserve, Old Glenroy Primary School Site, Wheatsheaf Road, Glenroy.

WHO?
12 – 25 year olds.
Djs, lighting/ sound technicians, dance artists, party people & anyone interested in learning more about the public arts & events industry.
No experience required! 🙂

~ Joseph O’Farrell (JOF) is a multi-art performer, producer, curator, musician and lecturer making work between Melbourne and London.
JOF creates large-scale installation/theatre works with, and for, community that celebrates our diversity and brings people together in hilarious and unlikely situations.

He is a founding member of Junkyard Theatre company, The Suitcase Royale; a trio that has been touring new Australian theatre works nationally and internationally since 2004.
